The Project
This project is a sanitized portfolio adaptation of confidentiality training I originally developed for a client. To protect proprietary information, the industry, company details, visuals, and specific policy language have been intentionally modified. The fictitious organization, Aurelium Labs, and SaaS context were created specifically for this demonstration.
The original training was designed to translate strict confidentiality requirements into practical, behavior-driven guidance. For this adaptation, I preserved the instructional structure, learning strategy, and interaction patterns while reframing the content around pre-release software and proprietary development assets.
The experience moves learners from understanding why confidentiality matters to defining key terminology, identifying sensitive assets, and applying layered security practices.
The Process
The course was developed in Articulate Storyline using a custom visual system built around the concept of layered security. While the content has been rewritten and sanitized, the instructional architecture, interaction patterns, and core design decisions reflect the original client project.
I structured the learning flow around five focused areas: business impact, terminology, sensitive assets, layered safeguards, and policy reinforcement. Progressive disclosure and staged visual elements reinforce the central idea that protecting confidential information requires multiple layers of action rather than a single safeguard.
Camtasia was used to refine motion, pacing, and transitions where staged visual emphasis supported the instruction. For example, the “Layered Security” interaction gradually reveals each protection layer as the background develops, using the visual metaphor to reinforce the concept rather than simply decorate the experience.
This portfolio sample represents a condensed version of the original course and does not include all modules or compliance components.
The Result
The adapted project demonstrates how complex confidentiality requirements can be translated into clear, engaging, behavior-focused learning while protecting client confidentiality. While intentionally generalized, this sample preserves the strategy and design approach of the original client engagement.
The final experience uses practical examples, progressive reveals, and visual storytelling to make abstract security concepts easier to understand and apply. It also demonstrates how client work can be thoughtfully adapted for a portfolio without revealing proprietary information.
